Generation, switchgear and test systems that synchronise, protect and prove performance
AMADSAS automates power generation and distribution assets — plant control, HT switchgear, DG synchronisation and electrical monitoring — and builds the test facilities that prove generators, inverters, motors and turbines meet their ratings.

Operating challenges
Our power references go back to the MAHAGENCO 500 MW project in 2009 and include NLC, NTPC Nagpur, Konal Hydel and the IPP at Okpai, Nigeria. The scope spans plant automation, 11 kV HT panel integration and commissioning, and HT switchgear maintenance for 500 MW, 6 MW thermal and hydel plants.
In renewables we have worked with Suzlon, Kenersys, GWPL and Enercon in wind and ATE in solar, and built a 33 kV wind LVRT test facility as a mobile 10-36 kV lab for wind energy converters.
For standby and distributed generation we deliver DG synchronising panels, EPMS with power quality analysis and HSD fuel automation, monitored from the same centralised platform used across our other sectors.
- 01
Synchronisation and load sharing
Generators must match voltage, frequency and phase angle before closing onto a bus, then share kW and kVAR without hunting. Errors trip breakers or damage machines.
- 02
HT switchgear integration and maintenance
11 kV switchgear must be integrated with protection and control, commissioned correctly and maintained to schedule, often on plants that cannot stop.
- 03
Proving equipment ratings
Generators, inverters, motors and turbines have to be tested at rated power, and wind converters must demonstrate LVRT behaviour before grid connection.
- 04
Visibility across distributed assets
Substations, feeders and generators spread across a site report to different systems. Power quality events and alarms need one time-stamped record.
- 05
Legacy controls in thermal and hydro plants
Older plants run on control systems that are hard to support. Upgrades must be engineered around the plant’s operating schedule.
How we address them
- 01
Study of the electrical system
We review single-line diagrams, protection schemes and existing controls, and define the I/O, communication and test requirements.
- 02
Panels and test equipment
HT integration panels, synchronising panels, MV panels, load banks and test-bed control desks are engineered and built in our manufacturing units.
- 03
Installation and commissioning
Cabling, termination, megger and loop checks are followed by commissioning against the agreed test procedures, including live synchronisation trials.
- 04
Monitoring and maintenance
EPMS and plant data are brought onto the centralised platform, and switchgear and controls are maintained under AMC.
Solutions for this sector
- DG SynchronisationSynchronising panels that parallel DG sets, share load automatically and log every event.
- Electrical Power Monitoring (EPMS)Real-time electrical network monitoring, power quality analysis, alarms and reports in one system.
- Test Benches & Load BanksCustomised test facilities and load banks for rotating machines, power electronics and components.
- Plant AutomationPLC, DCS and SCADA engineering, drives, legacy migration and IoT from design to commissioning.
- Control Panels & Electrical InstallationMCC, PCC, APFC, VFD, MV and IEC 61439 panels and E-House, built in-house and installed on site.

Frequently asked questions
Do you supply HT switchgear?
We are an authorised ABB partner and supply ABB switchgear as part of our scope. We also integrate, commission and maintain 11 kV HT panels supplied by others.
Can you synchronise generators of different makes?
Yes, provided each set has a controller that supports synchronising and load sharing. The synchronising panel carries one controller per DG and supports dead-bus and live-bus synchronisation with kW, kVA and PF sharing.
What test facilities have you built?
Among others: a 33 kV wind LVRT facility, a 3 MW inverter test facility, a 2 MW turbine test facility, a 1,000 kW motor test bed, a 560 kW generator test facility and a 500 kW engine test. Our Nashik R&D and test facility runs tests up to 1 MW.
Can EPMS and generator data be monitored centrally?
Yes. EPMS, DG, UPS and fuel data are brought onto the centralised monitoring platform with alarm management, event logging, power quality analysis and reports.
